Parke Brewer joined VOA in 1983, and has been the Sports Editor since 1987. He began his sports broadcasting career while in college in the early 1970's.
Prior to joining VOA, he covered news and sports at the Mutual Radio Networks, The Enterprise Sports Radio Network, ESPN, the ABC Radio and ABC Televsion Networks, Associated Press, and Satellite News Channel.
Parke covered his first of eight Olympics at the 1976 Summer Games in Montreal, for ABC Television. He has also covered such major sporting events as the World Cup, World Series, Super Bowl, Pan American Games, and The Masters.
