David Gollust has covered stories for VOA from more than 70 countries around the world.
Before his move to the State Department bureau, David held positions as VOA's Senior White House Correspondent, Jerusalem Bureau Chief, and Pentagon Correspondent. He's also filed stories from VOA headquarters in Washington, where from 1988-1994 he served as Managing Editor of the Central News Department.
Originally from the Cleveland, Ohio area, he attended Ohio State University and earned a graduate degree in journalism from Northwestern University, Illinois. Before VOA, he worked as a writer for the Associated Press and the Cleveland newspaper, The Plain Dealer.
