Several thousand people have demonstrated in Paris to protest possible military action against Iraq.
Demonstrators from France's Communist and Green parties marched Saturday with a banner that said "No to war against Iraq - justice and peace in the Middle East."
The protesters were urging France to use its veto power in the U.N. Security Council against any U.S.-sponsored resolution calling for possible war against Iraq.
The demonstration comes after the U.S. Congress approved Friday a resolution granting President Bush the power to use force, if necessary, to get Iraq to disarm.
