President Bush is returning to the White House after briefings on the apparent in-flight breakup of the space shuttle Columbia.
The President was briefed earlier Saturday, at Camp David presidential retreat outside Washington, shortly after NASA lost communications with the shuttle. The president had planned to spend the weekend at Camp David.
Staff members are also returning to the White House to monitor events.
U.S. authorities have advised there is no indication terrorism was a factor in the breakup.
