More excitement on and around the Olympic track highlights 13 gold medal events at the Athens Games Tuesday. Cycling, equestrian, weightlifting and diving will also crown champions.

Speed, endurance and agility again will be the hallmarks of Olympic champions in athletics Tuesday. The men run full speed to break the tape in the 400-meter race while the decathlon ends with the 1,500-meter event. The 3,000-meter steeplechase final always seems to be a fan favorite. The women will be in action in the pole vault, 100-meter hurdles and 1,500-meter final.

The women's beach volleyball tournament concludes for the singles competition on Faliro Beach.

Individual sprint finals for men and women dominate action in track cycling. The men also pedal in the final points race.

The men's under 105-kilogram division of weightlifters hoist for glory at the Nikaia weightlifting Centre. Divers jump for gold in the men's three-meter springboard. The final of equestrian team show-jumping will take place at the Markopoulo Equestrian Centre.

Baseball and football enter the semifinal phase of the tournament. Quarterfinal games will be played in men's handball and women's volleyball.
