World number three golfer Tiger Woods of the United States and his new Swedish bride Elin Nordegren have come ashore in Barbados after spending their wedding night aboard a yacht following an elaborate wedding at a private club.
Popular television talk show host Oprah Winfrey, National Basketball Association stars Michael Jordan and Charles Barkley, and more than 120 other guests attended the wedding.
The ceremony took place in a white-netted pagoda decorated with red roses at sunset on Tuesday. Woods rented the entire hotel where the wedding took place - a 200-room facility where rooms run between $700 and $8,000 a night.
The 28-year-old Woods met the 24-year-old Nordegren at the 2001 British Open while she was the nanny for the children of Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik.
