Dorfmeister Posts Fastest Practice Time Ahead of World Cup


Austrian Michaela Dorfmeister has posted the fastest practice time ahead of Saturday's women's World Cup downhill race in Val D'Isere, France.

Dorfmeister, the overall World Cup points leader, completed the course in 1:45.2 seconds. Defending World Cup downhill champion Renate Goetschl of Austria was second, 0.4 second back.

Switzerland's Sylviane Berthod had the third fastest time (1:45.84) followed by French skier Ingrid Jacquemod (1:45.95). American Lindsey Kildow was eighth, but leads the downhill discipline standings with 145 points this season.

Another training run is scheduled Friday before Saturday's downhill. A women's super-giant slalom is scheduled for Sunday.
