U. Shrinivas Brings India's Music to the Kennedy Center in Washington

U. Shrinivas was the keynote artist at the 2011 Maximum India program at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. The series of events covered a broad swath of Indian culture, including the Carnatic music for which Shrinivas is so famous. The former child prodigy, who performs his music on the mandolin, was well received by the large crowd in attendance. In the audience was VOA's Brian Silver, who spoke with Dave DeForest about Shrinivas' carnatic style of music.
