Venezuelan President Chavez Suffers New Health Complications

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has suffered "new complications" after cancer surgery in Cuba.

In a televised address from Cuba, his vice president, Nicolas Maduro, said Chavez continues to be in a "delicate state."

Chavez underwent his fourth cancer surgery on December 11 in Cuba, but suffered a respiratory infection. Maduro did not give details about Chavez's condition, but said the latest complications came with the respiratory infection.

The president, who has been in power since 1999, won another term in October's election.
