2013 Grammys Highligt Music's Biggest Acts


Record of the year honors at the 55th annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday went to Gotye and Kimbra for Somebody That I Used to Know.

The group Fun. won the best song of the year prize for their anthem We Are Young. The group also took home the best new artist of the year award.

The album of the year honor went to Mumford and Sons for Babel.

The Grammy Awards is the music industry's biggest night of the year.



Rapper LL Cool Jay hosted the ceremonies and at show's end rapped with some friends, including Chuck D.

The three-hour live show also paid tribute to some of music's recently deceased stars, including Indian sitar legend Ravi Shankar.

In an earlier, non-televised ceremony, Shankar won a Grammy award for Best World Album for his record The Living Room Sessions. The award was accepted by his daughter Anoushka Shankar, who was nominated in the same category for her album Traveller.

Chick Correa, Stanley Clarke and Kenny Garrett played Take 5 in tribute to the late Dave Brubeck.

Rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West won two awards for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
