22 Killed in Mexico Explosion

A gas tanker truck has exploded on a highway north of Mexico City, killing at least 22 people, including ten children. Authorities say at least 36 people were injured in the the blast.

Officials say the explosion happened early Tuesday in the Mexico City suburb of Ecatepec, crushing and burning vehicles and houses built near the highway.

Authorities say the driver is under detention while receiving treatment at a hospital.

Officials say the truck belonged to a company named Termogas.
