Pakistani police say at least eight people died Saturday when a bomb on a bus exploded in the northwestern city of Peshawar.

A police spokesman said an additional seven people were injured in the blast.

No one has claimed responsibility for the bombing. Security forces have carried out several offensives against Pakistani Taliban and other militant groups in that area.
