In Khost province Saturday, coalition forces detained a man outside a U.S. base after a grenade he was carrying failed to detonate. A military statement says the assailant had several explosives hidden on his body when he approached Camp Salerno.
In central Uruzgan province Saturday, Afghan and U.S. troops killed one insurgent and captured six others.
