Car Bomb Kills 7 Near Syria Border

TEXT SIZE - +
Turkish media say a car bomb has exploded near the border between Turkey and Syria, killing at least seven people and wounding 30 others.

Turkey's NTV news channel says the blast happened Monday on Turkish soil, about 40 meters from the Cilvegozu border crossing in the southern province of Hatay. Further details were not immediately available.

The border area between the two countries has been the scene of fighting between rebels and Syrian President Bashar Assad's military forces.
