Thousands of protesters are rallying in Cairo's Tahrir (Liberation) Square Friday, to pressure the Egyptian military to enact promised reforms.
The protesters have called on the military, which is steering the government at present, to rid the cabinet of members loyal to ousted President Hosni Mubarakand replace them with fresh faces.
The army is also expected to remove a 30-year state of emergency at some point, but has not said when. For now, it is urging people to abandon their protests and get back to work.
But the protesters have vowed to gather every Friday until their demands are met.
Egyptian officials say they will decide on Sunday when to reopen the nation's stock market, which was closed during the unrest that started in January and resulted in the resignation of President Mubarak on February 11.
