Debbie Allen, "black-ish'' star Tracee Ellis Ross and entertainment attorney Nina Shaw will be honored by Essence magazine at its pre-Oscars luncheon later this month.

The magazine announced Tuesday that it will honor the three women at its Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon on Feb. 25.

Essence editor-in-chief Vanessa De Luca said in a statement that the indomitable power and presence of Allen, Ellis Ross and Shaw embraces an inclusive and diverse Hollywood community.

Oprah Winfrey, Shonda Rhimes, Nick Cannon, Ryan Coogler and Leon Bridges are among the celebrities scheduled to join the honorees at the 9th annual luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

The event will be broadcast as a TV special Feb. 27 on the OWN cable channel.
