A federal jury has found former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin guilty of bribery and corruption charges.

Nagin faces up to 20 years in prison for accepting bribes, free trips and other gratuities in his dealings with contractors in the early years of the city's recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

Nagin gained worldwide attention in 2005 when Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, Louisiana.

Nagin will be sentenced at a later date.
