Investigators look at the remains of a small Indian paramilitary plane that crashed outside the airport in New Delhi, India, Dec. 22, 2015.

All 10 people on board died when a small Indian paramilitary plane crashed Monday outside New Delhi's main airport.

Junior Aviation Minister Mahesh Sharma says an investigation has been ordered to determine the cause of the crash.

Witnesses at the scene say the plane crashed into a boundary wall at the airport and caught fire injuring some workers on the ground.

An official says the pilot may have experienced technical problems and attempted to abort the takeoff when it crashed into the wall.

The plane was heading from New Delhi to the eastern city of Ranchi.
