Former Bosnian Serb army commander Ratko Mladic has appeared in the UN war crimes court in The Hague, but refused to testify as a defense witness for former Bosnian Serb President Radovan Karadzic.
Mladic appeared Tuesday before the war crimes tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, calling the court a "satanic court" and insisting he did not want to incriminate himself.
Mladic initially refused to testify at all, but then said he would proceed if officials brought him his dentures. Once they were produced, he reversed position again and refused to testify.
Mladic and Karadzic are both on trial for alleged war crimes stemming from the three-year Bosnian war that ended in 1995. They are being tried separately.
