Moderate Earthquake Hits Uzbekistan


Seismologists have reported that a moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 has hit southwestern Uzbekistan.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck at 11:08 a.m. (0608 UTC), about 27 kilometers north of Bulung'ur, at a depth of 27 kilometers.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
