At least three people were killed Tuesday when a suicide bomber detonated a vehicle full of explosives in an attack aimed at security forces in Pakistan's northwest city of Peshawar.

The dead included a soldier and two civilians. More than a dozen others were being treated for injuries.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The bomb blast comes as Pakistan's military continues its push to clear al-Qaida and Taliban militants from the country's northwest tribal region.
