Rescuers in China say 11 people, including eight children, died when a minivan bus transporting kindergartners fell into a pond.
The official news agency Xinhua says the accident happened late Thursday in a mountainous region near Hunan's capital, Changsha. The bus was carrying children home from school.
Xinhua says eight children, two teachers and the bus driver were aboard the vehicle. All were killed.
The minivan was hauled out of the pond before dawn on Friday.
