Indian authorities say they have broken up a domestic terror cell responsible for several bombings, including one that killed 17 people at a bakery last year.

New Delhi Police announced Wednesday they have detained six suspected militants, including one Pakistani, all believed to have ties to the Indian Mujahideen terror group.

Authorities say they recovered guns, explosives, detonators and fake Indian currency during their investigation.

The men face accusations of launching a series of attacks last year at a bakery in Pune, a Bangalore cricket stadium and outside a famous New Delhi mosque.

The Indian Mujahideen has claimed responsibility for numerous bomb attacks throughout India in recent years, including the deadly blast out the Delhi High Court in September.

Critics have accused the government of not sufficiently increasing security, especially in the wake of the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people. Many of the terror attacks since Mumbai have not been solved.
