I just gotta comment on photo #4 above...that area must be smelling quite ripe and, uh, nauseating. I was stationed in South Korea for a year in 1984 and I know the smell of kimchi, which is nothing more than fermented cabbage (from this westerner's perspective). I cannot get it near my nose, let alone in my mouth (my nose acts as a guard for what goes in my mouth). Anyone who eats it, is a much braver person than I.
