Seeing the poverty and deprivation amongst a section of displaced Indian people residing in the slums near Dharamsala, Kusho Jamyang started Tong-Len in 2002. Currently Tong-Len Charitable Trust undertakes various educational, health and empowerment projects for the displaced people in Kangra Valley and Kusho la says that he intends to extend his charitable community work to other displaced people in India.
