    The Zika virus, declared an international emergency by the World Health Organization, is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. While the recent focus has been on the mosquito's effect in Latin America, one biologist has found that specific type of mosquito just blocks from the Capitol building in Washington, D.C.
