The delegation has plans Wednesday, to meet with various officials before returning to Washington on Saturday.
The OAS wants to know how Congress justified its decision to remove Mr. Gutierrez from office.
Critics demanded that the former president resign for what they called his abuse of power.
Ecuador's political crisis began in December, when lawmakers dismissed 27 of the 31 Supreme Court justices after Mr. Gutierrez accused them of bias against him. The former president is currently in exile in Brazil.
