Dutch Terrorism Suspect Accepts Extradition from Britain to the Netherlands

A Dutch citizen arrested in Britain on an extradition warrant linking him to a terrorist group suspected in the killing of a Dutch filmmaker has agreed to be extradited to the Netherlands.

British authorities had detained Racid Belkacem in June on the warrant accusing him of possessing forged documents and having terrorist links.

Dutch police have accused Mr. Belkacem of involvement with the Hofstad Group, a suspected Islamic extremist network.

Leading Hofstad figure Mohammed Bouyeri is on trial for the murder of Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh, an outspoken critic of Islam. At least a dozen other suspected members of the group are awaiting trial on terrorism charges.

A district court in London said Wednesday Mr. Belkacem will be extradited within 10 days.
