Host Egypt has scored a 4-2 victory over Senegal in the final of the LG Cup football (soccer) tournament in Cairo.
Amr Zaki scored two late goals for Egypt Thursday. Zaki broke a 2-2 tie in the 86th minute and added another score four minutes into injury time. Senegal led in the second minute on a goal by Remon Mandi. But Egypt rallied on scores by Hassan Mustafa in the 15th minute and another by Emad Meteb in the 23rd. Senegal's Mamado Leone tied the match again in the 50th minute.
Earlier, Uganda beat World Cup qualifier Ecuador, 2-1, to claim third place. The LG Cup was regarded as a warmup for the 16-team Africa Cup in Egypt kicking off January 20.
