Two-time French Open champion Justine Henin-Hardenne of Belgium and former U.S. Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia have advanced to the finals of the French Open tennis tournament in Paris.
Henin-Hardenne, the fifth seed, scored a straight-set win over second-seeded compatriot Kim Clijsters, 6-3, 6-2. Kuznetsova, the eighth seed, scored a three-set win over 17-year-old Czech player Nicole Vaidisova, 5-7, 7-6, 6-2.
Henin-Hardenne is the clear favorite in Saturday's final. Kuznetsova has only one win and 10 losses against the Belgian all time.
