NBA: Celtics Losing Streak Continues


The Boston Celtics' losing streak continued Tuesday as they fell to the Detroit Pistons 109-102 in National Basketball Association action.

Chauncey Billups led the Pistons with 24 points, with teammate Antonio McDyess adding 18 points in just 20 minutes on the court.

Ryan Gomes scored 19 points to lead Boston, who lost for the 15th straight time since beating the Memphis Grizzlies on January 5. The Celtics have allowed 100 or more points in five straight games.

Elsewhere in the NBA, Jamal Crawford and Eddy Curry each scored 23 points to lead the New York Knicks to a 102-90 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The Houston Rockets downed the Memphis Grizzlies 98-90, as Tracy McGrady scored 33 points. The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Orlando Magic 116-111, and the Phoenix Suns beat the Portland Trail Blazers 109-102 in overtime.
