Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, India to Meet for Peace Talks

The foreign ministers of Pakistan and India are expected to meet Wednesday, as both sides vow to proceed with peace talks despite Sunday's fatal train bombing in India near the Pakistani border.

Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khursheed Kasuri and his Indian counterpart, Pranab Mukherjee, plan to meet in the Indian capital, New Delhi.

On Tuesday, Kasuri visited a hospital in New Delhi to see Pakistani survivors of the train bombing, which killed 68 people, mostly Pakistanis. He stressed that India and Pakistan must cooperate to address terrorism.

A search has been under way for two suspects wanted in connection with the attack. Indian police released sketches of the two men on Tuesday.

Police also have questioned a Pakistani national in connection with the attack.

Two bombs exploded on a train bound for Pakistan around midnight Sunday. Two cars were quickly engulfed in fire, and victims were trapped by locked doors and barred windows.

Some information for this report was provided by AFP, AP and Reuters.
