NBA: Wizards Beat Timberwolves as Arenas Regains Shooting Touch

The Washington Wizards beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 112-100 in National Basketball Association action on Tuesday

Gilbert Arenas led the Wizards with 38 points, breaking out of month-long scoring slump. Minnesota's Kevin Garnett scored 26 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

Elsewhere, the Charlotte Bobcats edged the New Orleans Hornets 104-100, as Raymond Felton scored 21 points and had 11 assists to lead the Bobcats. The game was marred by five technical fouls and a shoving match.

Detroit's Chauncey Billups scored 19 points to lead the Pistons to an 84-83 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Tuesday's other NBA winners included New York, Chicago, San Antonio, Seattle, Sacramento, Portland and Phoenix.

The New York Knicks downed the Orlando Magic 100-94 for their 24th win of the season, surpassing last season's win total. The Chicago Bulls trounced the Atlanta Hawks 106-81. San Antonio's Tony Parker scored 17 points to lead the Spurs to a 95-80 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

The Seattle Super Sonics beat the Memphis Grizzlies 121-105, as Rashard Lewis scored 34 points to celebrate his return to the Seattle lineup after missing two months with a hand injury. The Sacramento Kings edged the Boston Celtics 104-101. The Portland Trail Blazers downed the Utah Jazz 103-100, and the Phoenix Suns enjoyed a 115-90 rout of the Los Angeles Clippers. Steve Nash scored 13 points and had 12 assists in his first game back since being sidelined with a shoulder injury earlier this month.
