NBA: Spurs Beat Clippers, Extend Winning Streak

The San Antonio Spurs extended their winning streak to 13 games with a 93-84 win over the Los Angeles Clippers Tuesday in the National Basketball Association.

Tony Parker scored 25 points for the Spurs, while teammates Manu Ginobili scored 16 points and Michael Finley had 13.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat erased a 17-point deficit to defeat the Utah Jazz 88-86. Miami's Jason Williams scored 15 points, while teammate Antoine Walker scored all of his 13 points in the final 11 minutes of regulation. Miami has now won seven consecutive games.

Tuesday's other winners in the NBA include Cleveland, Atlanta, New Jersey, Minnesota, Denver, Chicago and Detroit.

The Cleveland Cavaliers enjoyed a 124-100 rout over the Sacramento Kings, despite star player LeBron James being scratched from the lineup due to back problems. Atlanta's Joe Smith scored 26 points and pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds to lead the Hawks to a 104-92 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. The New Jersey Nets downed the New Orleans Hornets 112-108.

Kevin Garnett scored 30 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 86-81 win over the Indiana Pacers, who have now lost 10 straight games. The Denver Nuggets beat the Portland Trail Blazers 107-99, as Allen Iverson scored 31 points and teammate Carmelo Anthony scored 29. The Chicago Bulls downed the Boston Celtics 95-87, and the Detroit Pistons defeated the Seattle SuperSonics 101-97.
