Australia, Sri Lanka Reach Final of Cricket World Cup

Australia and Sri Lanka are the finalists at the Cricket World Cup. Australia reached the final Wednesday by crushing South Africa by seven wickets in Gros Islet, St. Lucia.

Australia held South Africa to its lowest one-day total ever. South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first, but reached only 149 all-out in 43.5 overs. Justin Kemp was South Africa's top scorer with 49 not-out.

That left Australia to reach a paltry target of 150 with 18.3 overs to spare and set up a repeat of the 1996 World Cup final.

Sri Lanka advanced Tuesday with an 81-run victory over New Zealand. Australia has reached its fourth successive World Cup final and is seeking an unprecedented third consecutive title.
