U.S. media quote unidentified sources saying the singer pulled the plug on an April 25 performance at a Los Angeles nightclub.
The sources say Spears and her backup dancers had been rehearsing at the Forty Deuce club, but canceled at the last minute.
Britney Spears reportedly still wants to stage a concert in a small-scale venue, and is also rumored to be planning a series of appearances at several House Of Blues clubs in Southern California.
