ZZ Top Cancels European Tour

ZZ Top has cancelled a European tour so bassist Dusty Hill can receive treatment for a growth in his inner ear.

Dr. Shawn Nasseri, a California otolaryngologist who is treating the 57-year-old musician, said the the growth is benign, and preliminary plans don't include surgery.

ZZ Top got its start in Houston, TX in 1969. The trio was to have kicked off a European tour June 15 in Leipzig, Germany, and continue through early July.

More U.S. dates were set for July and August. Hill's condition is not expected to affect those appearances.
