Iran says its top nuclear negotiator and the European Union foreign policy chief will meet Thursday for talks on Iran's nuclear program.
Iran's foreign ministry announced the date for the talks hours after saying the meeting had been postponed. But a spokesman said the location for the talks between Ali Larijani, and the EU's Javier Solana has not yet been determined.
The talks between Iran and the EU are aimed at breaking a deadlock on Iran's controversial nuclear program. Iran has ignored United Nations resolutions ordering it to stop enriching uranium.
The U.N. Security Council earlier this month imposed limited sanctions against Iran for ignoring earlier resolutions.
The United States and its allies accuse Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons. Tehran says its nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes.
