The world's oldest man has turned 112 years old Tuesday, telling reporters that he wants to live forever.
Tomoji Tanabe celebrated his birthday in southern Japan where he received a bouquet and congratulations from the local mayor.
Tanabe is known for drinking plenty of milk and avoiding alcohol.
Japan has one of the world's longest average life spans, with the number of Japanese age 100 or older soon expected to surpass 28,000.
The world's oldest person is Edna Parker, 114, of the United States.
