Peruvian authorities said at least 14 people have been killed and more than 40 others injured in a road accident involving three vehicles.
Officials said the accident happened early Tuesday when two buses and a truck collided in the Arequipa province near Bolivia. Many of the injured were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
The collision took place one day after a bus ran off the road and plunged into a gorge in Peru's southern Ayacucho area, leaving at least 10 people dead and 30 injured.
Road accidents are common in Peru, where many roads are in poor condition.
