Cairo Bombing Kills French Teenager, Wounds 21

Egyptian police say a bomb explosion in a crowded Cairo market has killed a 17-year-old French girl and wounded at least 21 other people.

The bomb went off Sunday outside a cafe near the Hussein mosque in Khan el-Khalili, a historic area popular with tourists.

Authorities say French, Germans, Saudis and Egyptians were among those hurt in the explosion. At least four people are in serious condition.

Officials said police found a second explosive device in the area and destroyed it with a controlled explosion.

Police say they have suspects in custody in the case. No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.

It is unclear whether foreign tourists were the target of the attack, as they have been in several deadly bombings over the past decade.
