Afghan police say a suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up Wednesday, killing five security guards who were escorting a NATO convoy near the Pakistan border in Kandahar province.
Authorities say the attack happened as the supply convoy was traveling in Spin Boldak district, a major border crossing point between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
