Beatlemania Returns With Remastered Album Release, New Video Game

A renewed wave of Beatlemania is sweeping the world Wednesday with the release of the British pop group's digitally remastered albums and a new video game.

Fans are lining up to get a copy of the new Beatles box set that includes all 12 of the group's albums.

Engineers have spent four years working to improve the sound quality of the music at Abbey Road Studios in London before releasing the collection.

The new Beatles album set costs about $300, but the music industry is predicting high sales.

In addition, fans can also now buy a new video game featuring the famous pop group, "The Beatles: Rock Band."

The game allows up to six people to play the Beatles' hit songs using controllers that mimic instruments.

The Beatles' company, Apple Corps, has shunned releasing their music in digital formats due to piracy concerns, but "Rock Band" owners will be able to download entire albums in coming months.

Some information for this report was provided by AFP and Reuters.
