Sri Lanka's cricket team has reached the finals of a triangular one-day tournament by beating New Zealand by 106 runs in a match in Colombo.

Mahela Jayawardene had 58 runs while pace Bowler Cahminda Vaas took three wickets for the host nation in the rain-affected match. Each side had been reduced to 36 overs after a three-hour rain delay.

The final score: Sri Lanka, 221 for six and New Zealand 115 for nine. Sri Lanka now has eight points from five match, while New Zealand has four from five matches and the third nation in the tournament, Indian, has two points from four matches.
