Indian officials say a passenger train derailment has killed at least 23 people and injured more than two dozen others - some seriously - in the western state of Maharashtra.
Authorities say four cars jumped the tracks after the train hit boulders near the entrance to a tunnel. Officials say heavy monsoon rains caused a landslide that sent boulders onto the tracks. Search-and-rescue operations have been slowed by continued rain.
The accident took place late Sunday about 500 kilometers south of Bombay. The train was traveling from Karavar to Bombay.
