Gunmen Kill Another Lawyer From Saddam Trial

Iraqi security officials say gunmen have killed a lawyer representing Saddam Hussein's codefendants on charges of crimes against humanity.

Tuesday's drive-by attack in Baghdad was the second assassination of a defense lawyer in the trial in less than three weeks. The latest victim was defending Saddam's former vice president Taha Yassin Ramadan. A second lawyer was wounded.

Following the attack, attorneys for Saddam Hussein are calling for the trial to be moved to another country and for their security to be guaranteed.

In other violence Tuesday, coalition forces killed two insurgents in Ramadi. Roadside bombs killed two policemen and an Iraqi security official elsewhere in the country.

And Iraqi President Jalal Talabani met in Rome with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and thanked him for sending troops to Iraq.
