US Airline Safety Inspections Under Federal Review

update

The U.S. aviation agency has ordered a review of maintenance records at all U.S. airlines, after serious safety violations were reported at one major carrier. Lapses in Southwest Airlines' inspection records prompted the Federal Aviation Administration to confirm that all other carriers were in full compliance. The airline admitted it flew 46 planes without required inspections. The review comes as the FAA faces growing criticism for allowing planes to fly without proper inspections. VOA's Mil Arcega reports.
