Vittoz, Neumannova Win Cross-Country Races in Nove Mesto

Frenchman Vincent Vittoz and Katerina Neumannova of the Czech Republic have won men's and women's cross-country skiing races in Nove Mesto, the Czech Republic.

In the men's 15-kilometer freestyle race, Vittoz claimed his first victory of the season in 38:03. Lukas Bauer of the Czech Republic was second, 8.5 seconds back. Austrian Christian Hoffmann was third.

Tobias Angerer of Germany remains the overall season leader with 485 points. Tor Arne Hetland of Norway is second, with 375 points with Vittoz third, with 339 points.

In the women's 10-kilometer freestyle race, Neumannova finished in 27:57.01. Julija Tchepalova of Russia was second, 26.02 back with Ukraine's Valentina Shevchenko third.

Norway's Marit Bjorgen leads the overall standings with 490 points. Tchepalova is second, with 460 points with Claudia Kuenzel of Germany third, with 408 points.
