A fight between inmates at a prison in northern Mexico has left 23 people dead.
The reason for Wednesday's brawl was not clear, though there are reports that the clashes were between rival gang members.
The fight took place at a prison in the state of Durango, which is home to violent drug cartels that battle in the streets as well as in the jails.
Last year, 19 inmates were killed at another prison in Durango in a brawl blamed on rival gangs.
