5 Killed in Pakistan Mine Collapse

Officials in northwestern Pakistan said at least five people were killed after heavy rains caused a coal mine to collapse.

Twenty-six miners were pulled out from the mine that caved in Saturday in the Orakzai tribal region.

Authorities said rescue operations continue despite ongoing inclement weather.

Pakistani mines are known for their poor safety standards and bad ventilation.
